Case study: Lufthansa and the Lufthansa Group

Scalable infographic systems

As part of Lufthansa’s first brand update in 30 years, we created modular infographic systems for the airline as well as the Lufthansa Group. The differing but clearly linked systems provide a toolset that can be used by internal and external suppliers across media channels and audiences in both diagrams and illustration.

Modular diagrams

For the Lufthansa Group and Lufthansa, building infographics – from simple donut charts to complex organograms – is now a matter of assembling well-designed elements. These were created in consideration of color, elements and fonts that were already designed for the rebranding, to allow for a seamless delivery of data and information to all stakeholders.

Modular illustrations

We’re developing an illustration system as part of the toolset to both companies with interchangeable elements for consistent storytelling across all platforms. Each element allows for characters and icons to be adjusted as needed by topic, medium and audience – whether for in-flight magazines, employee communication or social media animations.

Case study: Welt Economics Summit

Global economics summit

For Axel Springer's annual gathering of decision-makers at DAX-listed companies and Germany's top ministers, including Chancellor Angela Merkel, we delivered a series of infographic explainer videos as orientation points before each presentation. From the euro crisis to the influx of refugees to a transatlantic comparison of digital ventures, each video delivered the key facts and figures behind the headlines.

STORYTELLING BY NUMBERS

We let the numbers dictate how we told our stories. We turned economic forecasts into meteorological reports and harnessed the wheel of time to celebrate 60 years of German economic development. Each video was precise, to the point and told a story that left people free to make informed opinions.

Case Study: Swissgrid

ELECTRIFIED DEBATE

Swissgrid controls the Swiss power grid. For their campaign for a future-ready system, we were hired to translate their plans into digestible information for Swiss citizens. We used a mix of data visualizations, cartography and organograms enhanced with personal stories across a wide array of platforms to create the cornerstone of a national conversation.

PUTTING THE POWER
OF INFORMATION IN PEOPLE’S HANDS

To reach as many people as possible, the campaign for »Strategic Grid 2025« went online and off. An interactive microsite and app let people explore the complexities of supplying Switzerland with electricity. To help Swissgrid reach even more people, we recreated our content for pamphlets, papers, press releases and structures used at tradeshows and events.

USING OUR RESOURCES FOR SUCCESS

For the project to meet its goals, we deployed a wide range of talents from data visualization experts to a film team. On-site research gave our project managers and creative directors insight into the company and all that was at stake for the future of Swiss electricity.
